Food enthusiasts in Quezon City can now access more detailed information about the dishes they order at restaurants and food havens. The local government will soon implement a new regulation that mandates all Quezon City restaurants and food establishments to disclose the calorie count of their menu items.

The Quezon City Council recently passed a Calorie Labeling Ordinance, which requires middle-scale and big restaurants across the city to display calorie information on their menus. The calorie count labeling ordinance has been passed and is awaiting the signature of Mayor Joy Belmonte to become official.

This means customers can make decisions about their food choices and dietary requirements. Whether it's a sumptuous entree or a refreshing beverage, diners can now have a clearer idea of the nutritional value of what they consume. Ultimately, the objective is to create a healthier society by ensuring people can make informed decisions about what they eat.

Maintaining a healthy diet is vital, as consuming an unhealthy diet over a prolonged period can lead to various diseases and health complications. Therefore, monitoring the calories in food is crucial, as it plays an essential role in overall health.
